Matthew Swindells has left NPfIT for a consultancy role in the private sector. He replaced Richard Granger who left in January. NPfIT is looking to recruit a new DG-level CIO.
A local MP has slammed the project in the press, IBM has come back to say that work will be done in Somerset.
The North East Patches, an organic competitor to NHS Shared Business Services, owned by Steria (was Xansa) continues to extend its reach. Is this shared infrastructure, but not processing, a model for the NHS?
